Vina Belje is the largest Croatian producer of grapes, with 564 hectares of its own vineyards, situated in the Croatian Danube region, a wine-growing region in Baranja. Wines are made exclusively from the grapes produced in our own vineyards and all the grape picking is done by hand. Further production takes place in Vina Belje winery, one of the most state-of-the-art winemaking facilities in Europe, situated in the heart of Belje vineyards.
The wines, which are made in the winery with great care and love, mature in Belje Cellar, which is dug into the hill in the centre of Kneževi Vinogradi. The cellar is almost 500 years old, and today it is one of the biggest and the most impressive wine cellars in the whole region. It holds Premium and Goldberg wines, which mature in wooden barrels on two cellar levels.
Graševina is the most important wine variety of Vina Belje. Its extraordinary quality is connected with the specific characteristics of Baranja terroir and the special care that the vineyards receive. Other varieties, such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blue Frankish and Pinot Noir, regularly win gold medals at prestigious wine competitions.
